DIY Video: Cutting Exhibit Labels by Hand

Tacoma Historical Society, "Bridging Tacoma"

Last week, I presented a workshop on exhibit tips, hosted by the Quillcene Historical Museum and sponsored by the Washinton State Historical Society. It was wonderful to get together with people from small museums, who are typically volunteers and work very hard to create and maintain these community gems!

I am frequently asked at workshops about making, mounting, and cutting labels for exhibits. I've decided to make a series of short, "no-frills" instructional vidoes on small labels. And by small, I mean 11x17 or smaller labels that you design and print from your desktop. I'll cover the three basic steps: designing, mounting, and cutting. I'm starting with the last step, with a demo and tips on how to cut labels by hand.

Watch the first video bellow, and let me know in the comments if it was useful and what else you would like to see!
